أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَبِي ذُبَاب، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: انْتَدَبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَنْ يَخْرُجُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ، لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا الْإِيمَانُ بِي وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِي، أَنَّهُ ضَامِنٌ حَتَّى أُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِأَيِّهِمَا كَانَ إِمَّا بِقَتْلٍ، أَوْ وَفَاةٍ، أَوْ أَرُدَّهُ، إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ الَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ نَالَ مَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ، أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ .
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایسے شخص کو جو اس کے راستے میں نکلتا ہے ( یعنی جہاد کے لیے ) اور اس کا یہ نکلنا محض اللہ پر اپنے ایمان کے تقاضے، اور اس کے راستے میں جہاد کے جذبے سے ہے ( تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایسے شخص کو ) اپنے ذمہ لے لیا ہے کہ میں اسے جنت میں داخل کروں گا چاہے وہ قتل ہو کر مرا ہو، یا اپنی فطری موت پائی ہو، یا میں اسے اس اجر و ثواب اور مال غنیمت کے ساتھ جو اسے ملا ہو، اور جو بھی ملا ہو، اس کے اپنے اس گھر پر واپس پہنچا دوں گا جہاں سے وہ جہاد کے لیے نکلا تھا“۔
Abu Hurairah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Allah has guaranteed: 'For the one who goes out in the cause of Allah, and nothing makes him do that except faith in Me, and Jihad in My cause - that He will admit him to Paradise whether he is killed or he dies, or He will return him to his home from which he departed with whatever he has earned of reward or spoils of war.'

Hadith 3087
Narrated It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: “When the Prophet was expelled from Makkah, Abu Bakr said to him: ‘They have driven out their Prophet, verily to Allah we belong and to Him we return. They are surely doomed.’ Then it was revealed: ‘Permission to fight (against disbelievers) is given to those (believers) who are fought against, because they have been wronged; and surely, Allah is able to give them (believers) victory.’ Then I knew that there would be fighting.” Ibn Abbas said: “This is the first Verse that was revealed concerning fighting.”
