أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ الْعَقَبَةِ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ: هَاتِ الْقُطْ لِي، فَلَقَطْتُ لَهُ حَصَيَاتٍ هُنّ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ، فَوَضَعْتُهُنَّ فِي يَدِهِ، وَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ بِهِنَّ فِي يَدِهِ ، وَوَصَفَ يَحْيَى تَحْرِيكَهُنَّ فِي يَدِهِ بِأَمْثَالِ هَؤُلَاءِ.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عقبہ کی صبح کو فرمایا اور آپ اپنی سواری کو روکے ہوئے تھے: ”آؤ میرے لیے کچھ کنکریاں چن دو“، تو میں نے آپ کے لیے کنکریاں چنیں۔ یہ اتنی چھوٹی تھیں کہ چٹکی میں آ جائیں، تو میں نے انہیں آپ کے ہاتھ میں لا کر رکھا، تو آپ انہیں اپنے ہاتھ میں حرکت دینے لگے۔ اور یحییٰ نے انہیں اپنے ہاتھ میں ہلا کر بتایا کہ اسی طرح کی کنکریاں یہ اتنی چھوٹی تھیں کہ چٹکی میں آ جائیں ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: On the morning of Al-Aqabah, while he was on his mount, the Messenger of Allh said: 'Pick up (some pebbles) for me.' So P picked up some pebbles for him that were the size of date stones of fingertips, and placed them in his hand. He started to do this with his hand. Yahya described him shaking them in his hand like this.

Hadith 1513
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Apostle and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, O Allah's Apostle! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf? The Prophet replied, Yes, you may. That happened during the Hajj-al-Wida (of the Prophet ).
