أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمِي وَفِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدٍ: قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ، لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ، وَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ ، فَلَمَّا مَلَكَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ جَعَلَ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ.
ام المؤمنین (عائشہ) رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر میری قوم ( اور محمد بن عبدالاعلی کی روایت میں تیری قوم ) جاہلیت کے زمانہ سے قریب نہ ہوتی تو میں کعبہ کو ڈھا دیتا اور اس میں دو دروازے کر دیتا“، تو جب عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما وہاں کے حکمراں ہوئے تو انہوں نے ( رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خواہش کے مطابق ) کعبہ میں دو دروازے کر دئیے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Al-Aswad that the Mother of the Believers said: The Messenger of Allah said: Were it not for the fact that my people' - according to the narration of Muhammad he said: 'Your people' - 'have recently left Jailiyyah, I would have knocked down the House and given it two doors.' When Ibn Az-Zubair was in power, he gave it two doors.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Apostle and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, O Allah's Apostle! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf?
