أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدَةُ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَوْلَا حَدَاثَةُ عَهْدِ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ، لَنَقَضْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَبَنَيْتُهُ عَلَى أَسَاسِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام، وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ خَلْفًا، فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا لَمَّا بَنَتْ الْبَيْتَ اسْتَقْصَرَتْ .
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر تمہاری قوم کا زمانہ کفر سے قریب نہ ہوتا تو میں خانہ کعبہ کو ڈھا دیتا، اور اسے ( پھر سے ) ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی بنیاد پر تعمیر کرتا، اور سامنے کے مقابل میں پیچھے بھی ایک دروازہ کر دیتا، قریش نے جب خانہ کعبہ کی تعمیر کی تو اسے گھٹا دیا“۔
It was narrated that Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah said: Were it not for the fact that your people have recently left disbelief, I would have knocked down the House and rebuilt it on the foundation of Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and I would have given it a back door. For when the Quraish built the House, they made it too small.'

Hadith 1513
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Apostle and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, O Allah's Apostle! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf? The Prophet replied, Yes, you may. That happened during the Hajj-al-Wida (of the Prophet ).
