أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُهَلْهَلٍ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، فَقُلْتُ: لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَجْمَعَ الْعَامَ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ، فَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ: لَوْ كَانَ أَبُوكَ لَمْ يَهُمَّ بِذَلِكَ، قَالَ: وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: إِنَّمَا كَانَتِ الْمُتْعَةُ لَنَا خَاصَّةً .
عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی الشعثاء کہتے ہیں کہ میں ابراہیم نخعی اور ابراہیم تیمی کے ساتھ تھا، تو میں نے کہا: میں نے اس سال حج اور عمرہ دونوں کو ایک ساتھ کرنے کا ارادہ کیا ہے۔ اس پر ابراہیم نے کہا: اگر تمہارے والد ہوتے تو ایسا ارادہ نہ کرتے، وہ کہتے ہیں: ابراہیم تیمی نے اپنے باپ کے واسطہ سے روایت بیان کی، اور انہوں نے ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: متعہ ہمارے لیے خاص تھا۔
It was narrated that Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Ash-Shatha Said: I was with Ibrahm An-Nakha'i and Ibrahim At-taimi, and I said: 'I wanted to combine Hajj and 'Umrah this year,' but Ibrahim said: 'If you father were alive, he would not do that.' And Ibrahim At-Taimi said, (narrating) from his father, that Abu Dharr said: 'Tamattu' was only for us . (Sahib)

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Apostle and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, O Allah's Apostle! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf? The Prophet replied, Yes, you may. That happened during the Hajj-al-Wida (of the Prophet ).
