أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَة، وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ، وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ، وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا، فَهُنَّ لَهُمْ وَلِمَنْ أَتَى عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِنَّ مِمَّنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَمَنْ كَانَ دُونَهُنَّ فَمِنْ أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ يُهِلُّونَ مِنْهَا .
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مدینہ والوں کے لیے ذوالحلیفہ کو میقات مقرر کیا، اور شام والوں کے لیے جحفہ کو اور یمن والوں کے لیے یلملم کو، اور نجد والوں کے لیے قرن المنازل کو۔ یہ جگہیں یہاں کے لوگوں کے لیے میقات ہیں اور ان کے علاوہ لوگوں کے لیے بھی جو ان پر سے ہو کر گزریں، اور حج و عمرہ کا ارادہ رکھنے والوں میں سے ہوں اور جو لوگ ان جگہوں کے اندر رہتے ہوں تو وہ اپنے گھر ہی سے تلبیہ پکاریں یہاں تک کہ مکہ والے مکہ ہی سے تلبیہ پکاریں گے“۔
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet designated Dhul-Hulaifah as the Miqat for the people of Al-Madinah, Al-Juhfah for the people of Ash-shamham, Yalmlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn for the people of Najd. They are for them and for those who pass by them who are not of their people, intending to perform Hajj or 'Umrah. If a person's place of residence is within the boundary of they Miqat, then (he should enter Ihram) from where he starts his journey, and this also applies to the people of Makkah.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Apostle and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, O Allah's Apostle! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf? The Prophet replied, Yes, you may. That happened during the Hajj-al-Wida (of the Prophet ).
