أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدِي امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ،‏‏‏‏ وَهِيَ تَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَارْتَاعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا تُفْتَنُ يَهُودُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَبِثْنَا لَيَالِيَ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهُ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدُ يَسْتَعِيذُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس تشریف لائے، میرے پاس ایک یہودی عورت تھی، وہ کہہ رہی تھی کہ تم لوگ قبروں میں آزمائے جاؤ گے، ( یہ سن کر ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم گھبرا گئے، اور فرمایا: ”صرف یہودیوں ہی کی آزمائش ہو گی“۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں: پھر ہم کئی رات ٹھہرے رہے پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مجھ پر وحی آئی ہے کہ تمہیں ( بھی ) قبروں میں آزمایا جائے گا“، اس کے بعد سے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو عذاب قبر سے پناہ مانگتے سنتی رہی۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah came to me and there was a Jewish woman with me who was saying: 'You will be tested in your graves.' The Messenger of Allah got upset and said: 'Rather the Jews will be tested. ' 'Aishah said: A few nights later, the Messenger of Allah said: 'It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves. ' 'Aishah said; Afterward I heard the Messenger of Allah seeking refuge with Allah from the torment of the grave.

'

Whoever insists on praying for it let him say: Allahumma ahini ma kanatil-hayatu khairanli wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khairanli (O Allah, keep me alive so long as life is good for me, and cause me to die when death is good for me.) '
