أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قال: أَنْبَأَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، يُقَالُ لَهُ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَيَّةَ، قال: أُصِيبَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ الطَّائِفِ فَحُمِلَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: فَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُدْفَنَا حَيْثُ أُصِيبَا ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ مُعَيَّةَ وُلِدَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
عبیداللہ بن معیہ نامی ایک شخص کہتے ہیں کہ غزوہ طائف کے دن دو مسلمان مارے گئے، تو وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس اٹھا کر لائے گئے، تو آپ نے انہیں ( اسی جگہ ) دفنانے کا حکم دیا جہاں وہ مارے گئے تھے۔ اس حدیث کے راوی ابن معیہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد میں پیدا ہوئے تھے۔
It was narrated that a man called 'Ubaidullah bin Mu'ayyah said: Two Muslim men were killed on the day of At-Ta'if, and they were taken to the Messenger of Allah. He commanded that they be buried where they were killed. Ibn Mu'ayyah was born during the time of the Messenger of Allah.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: None of you should wish for death. Either he is a doer of good, so perhaps he may do more good, or he is an evildoer but perhaps he will give up his evil ways.
