أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ. ح وأَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قال: مَرَّتْ بِنَا جَنَازَةٌ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّمَا هِيَ جَنَازَةُ يَهُودِيَّةٍ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ لِلْمَوْتِ فَزَعًا، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْجَنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا ، اللَّفْظُ لِخَالِدٍ.
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ایک جنازہ ہمارے پاس سے گزرا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہو گئے، اور آپ کے ساتھ ہم بھی کھڑے ہو گئے، میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ جنازہ ( ایک ) یہودی عورت کا ہے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”موت ایک قسم کی ہیبت ہے، تو جب تم جنازہ دیکھو تو کھڑے ہو جاؤ“، یہ الفاظ خالد کے ہیں۔
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: A funeral passed by us and the Messenger of Allah stood up and we stood with him. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, it is a Jewish funeral.' He said: 'Death is something terrifying, so if you see a funeral, stand up, ' This is the wording of Khalid.
