أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قال: أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَطَبَ يَسْتَنِدُ إِلَى جِذْعِ نَخْلَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَلَمَّا صُنِعَ الْمِنْبَرُ وَاسْتَوَى عَلَيْهِ، اضْطَرَبَتْ تِلْكَ السَّارِيَةُ كَحَنِينِ النَّاقَةِ حَتَّى سَمِعَهَا أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ، حَتَّى نَزَلَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاعْتَنَقَهَا فَسَكَتَتْ .
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب خطبہ دیتے تو مسجد کے ستونوں میں سے کھجور کے ایک تنا سے آپ ٹیک لگاتے تھے، پھر جب منبر بنایا گیا، اور آپ اس پر کھڑے ہوئے تو وہ ستون ( جس سے آپ سہارا لیتے تھے ) بیقرار ہو کر رونے لگا جس طرح اونٹنی روتی ہے، یہاں تک کہ اسے مسجد والوں نے بھی سنا، یہاں تک کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اتر کر اس کے پاس گئے، اور اسے گلے سے لگایا تو وہ چپ ہوا۔
Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered the khutbah, he used to lean against a palm tree trunk that formed one of the pillars of the masjid. When the minbar was made and he sat down on it, that pillar made a sound like the groaning of a camel, which the people of the masjid heard, until the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came down and embraced it, then it fell silent.

Hadith 1368
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'We are the last (to come) but will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection, but they were given the Book before us and we were given it after them. They differed concerning this day which Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, had prescribed for them and Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, guided us to --meaning Friday-- so the people follow us, the Jews the next day and the Christians the day after that.'
