أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قال: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، قال: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ يَعْنِي عُمَارَةَ، قال: حَدَّثَنِي الْقَيْسِيُّ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأُتِيَ بِمَاءٍ، فَقَالَ: عَلَى يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ فَغَسَلَهُمَا مَرَّةً وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ بِيَمِينِهِ كِلْتَيْهِمَا .
عمارہ کہتے ہیں: مجھ سے قیسی رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں تھے، آپ کے پاس پانی لایا گیا تو آپ نے اسے برتن سے اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں پر پانی ڈالا ۱؎ اور انہیں ایک بار دھویا، پھر اپنے چہرے اور دونوں بازؤوں کو ایک ایک بار دھویا، پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں سے اپنے دونوں پیروں کو دھویا۔
Al-Qaisi narrated that he was with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey, and some water was brought to him. He poured some onto his hands from the vessel and washed them once, then he washed his face and each arm once, and he washed his feet with both hands.

It was narrated from Abu Burdah that Abu Musa said: I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was using the Siwak and with me were two men of the Ash'aris - one on my right and the other on my left - who were seeking to be appointed as officials. I said: 'By the One Who sent you as a Prophet with the truth, they did not tell me why they wanted to come with me and I did not realize that they were seeking to be appointed as officials.' And I could see his Siwak beneath his lip, then it slipped and he said: 'We do not' - or; 'We will never appoint as an official anyone who seeks that. Rather you should go.' So he sent his (Abu Musa) to Yemen, then he sent Mu'adh bin Jabal to go after him - may Allah be pleased with them.
