حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ صَالِحِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ التَّمَّارِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، أَنَّ مَوْلَاتَهَا أَرْسَلَتْهَا بِهَرِيسَةٍ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فَوَجَدَتْهَا تُصَلِّي، فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيَّ أَنْ ضَعِيهَا، فَجَاءَتْ هِرَّةٌ فَأَكَلَتْ مِنْهَا، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَتْ أَكَلَتْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَكَلَتِ الْهِرَّةُ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِنَجَسٍ، إِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنَ الطَّوَّافِينَ عَلَيْكُمْ ، وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَتَوَضَّأُ بِفَضْلِهَا.
داود بن صالح بن دینار تمار اپنی والدہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ان کی مالکن نے انہیں ہریسہ ( ایک قسم کا کھانا ) دے کر ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی خدمت میں بھیجا تو انہوں نے عائشہ کو نماز پڑھتے ہوئے پایا، عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے مجھے کھانا رکھ دینے کا اشارہ کیا ( میں نے کھانا رکھ دیا ) ، اتنے میں ایک بلی آ کر اس میں سے کچھ کھا گئی، جب ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نماز سے فارغ ہوئیں تو بلی نے جہاں سے کھایا تھا وہیں سے کھانے لگیں اور بولیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: یہ ناپاک نہیں ہے، کیونکہ یہ تمہارے پاس آنے جانے والوں میں سے ہے ، اور میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بلی کے جھوٹے سے وضو کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے۔
Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Dawud ibn Salih ibn Dinar at-Tammar quoted his mother as saying that her mistress sent her with some pudding (harisah) to Aishah who was offering prayer. She made a sign to me to place it down. A cat came and ate some of it, but when Aishah finished her prayer, she ate from the place where the cat had eaten. She stated: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: It is not unclean: it is one of those who go round among you. She added: I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم performing ablution from the water left over by the cat.

Abu al-Tayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from Abu Musa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply Abu Musa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of theMessenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.

Anas bin Malik reported: When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم entered the toilet, he used to say (before entering): O Allaah, I seek refuge in Thee. This is according to the version of Hammad. Abd al-Warith has another version: I seek refuge in Allaah from male and female devils.
