حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: أُتِيَ بِأَبِي قُحَافَةَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَرَأْسُهُ وَلِحْيَتُهُ كَالثَّغَامَةِ بَيَاضًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: غَيِّرُوا هَذَا بِشَيْءٍ وَاجْتَنِبُوا السَّوَادَ .
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ فتح مکہ کے دن ( ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے والد ) ابوقحافہ کو لایا گیا، ان کا سر اور ان کی داڑھی ثغامہ ( نامی سفید رنگ کے پودے ) کے مانند سفید تھی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسے کسی چیز سے بدل دو اور سیاہی سے بچو ۔
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: Abu Quhafah was brought on the day of the conquest of Makkah with head and beard while like hyssop. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Change this something, but avoid black.
