حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ ظُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَنَا رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَكُمْ نَافِعًا، وَطَاعَةُ اللَّهِ وَطَاعَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْفَعُ لَكُمْ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنِ الْحَقْلِ، وَقَالَ: مَنِ اسْتَغْنَى عَنْ أَرْضِهِ، فَلْيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ أَوْ لِيَدَعْ ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد: وَهَكَذَا رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ، وَمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُهَلْهَلٍ،عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: أُسَيْدٌ ابْنُ أَخِي رَافِعِ بْنِ خَديِجٍ.
اسید بن ظہیر کہتے ہیں ہمارے پاس رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ آئے اور کہنے لگے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تم کو ایک ایسے کام سے منع فرما رہے ہیں جس میں تمہارا فائدہ تھا، لیکن اللہ کی اطاعت اور اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اطاعت تمہارے لیے زیادہ سود مند ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تم کو «حقل» سے یعنی مزارعت سے روکتے ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص اپنی زمین سے بے نیاز ہو یعنی جوتنے بونے کا ارادہ نہ رکھتا ہو تو اسے چاہیئے کہ وہ اپنی زمین اپنے کسی بھائی کو ( مفت ) دیدے یا اسے یوں ہی چھوڑے رکھے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسی طرح سے شعبہ اور مفضل بن مہلہل نے منصور سے روایت کیا ہے شعبہ کہتے ہیں: اسید رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ کے بھتیجے ہیں۔
Narrated Usaid bin Zuhair: Rafi bin Khadij came to us and said: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbids you from a work which is beneficial to you ; and obedience to Allah and His Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم is more beneficial to you. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbids you from renting land for share of its produce and he said: If anyone if not in need of his land he should lend it to his brother or leave it. Abu Dawud said: Shubah and Mufaddal bin Muhalhal have narrated it from Mansur in similar way. Shubah said (in his version): Usaid, nephew of Rafi b, Khadij.

Hadith 3326
Narrated Qays ibn Abu Gharazah: In the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم we used to be called brokers, but the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم came upon us one day, and called us by a better name than that, saying: O company of merchants, unprofitable speech and swearing takes place in business dealings, so mix it with sadaqah (alms).

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A man seized his debtor who owed ten dinars to him. He said to him: I swear by Allah, I shall not leave you until you pay off (my debt) to me or bring a surety. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم stood as a surety for him. He then brought as much (money) as he promised. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم asked: From where did you acquire this gold? He replied: From a mine. He said: We have no need of it; there is no good in it. Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم paid (the debt) on his behalf.

Narrated Al-Numan bin Bashir: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear, but between them are certain doubtful things. I give you an example for this. Allah has a preserve, and Allah's preserve is the things He has declared unlawful. He who pastures (his animals) round the preserve will soon fall into it. He who falls into doubtful things will soon be courageous.

Narrated Al-Numan bin Bashir: I heard Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: But between them are certain doubtful things which many people do not recognize. He who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and his honor blameless, but he who falls into doubtful things falls into what is unlawful.
