حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ هُرْمُزَ، أَنَّ نَجْدَةَ الْحَرُورِيَّ. حينَ حَجَّ فِي فِتْنَةِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ سَهْمِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى، وَيَقُولُ: لِمَنْ تَرَاهُ ؟ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: لِقُرْبَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَسَمَهُ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ كَانَ عُمَرُ عَرَضَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ عَرْضًا رَأَيْنَاهُ دُونَ حَقِّنَا فَرَدَدْنَاهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَبَيْنَا أَنْ نَقْبَلَهُ..
ابن شہاب زہری کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے یزید بن ہرمز نے خبر دی کہ نجدہ حروری ( خارجیوں کے رئیس ) نے ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما کے بحران کے زمانہ میں ۱؎ جس وقت حج کیا تو اس نے ایک شخص کو عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس «ذي القربى» کا حصہ پوچھنے کے لیے بھیجا اور یہ بھی پوچھا کہ آپ کے نزدیک اس سے کون مراد ہے؟ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: اس سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عزیز و اقارب مراد ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے ان سب میں تقسیم فرمایا تھا، عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بھی ہمیں اس میں سے دیا تھا لیکن ہم نے اسے اپنے حق سے کم پایا تو لوٹا دیا اور لینے سے انکار کر دیا۔
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: Yazid ibn Hurmuz said that when Najdah al-Haruri performed hajj during the rule of Ibn az-Zubayr, he sent someone to Ibn Abbas to ask him about the portion of the relatives (in the fifth). He asked: For whom do you think? Ibn Abbas replied: For the relatives of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم divided it among them. Umar presented it to us but we found it less than our right. We, therefore returned it to him and refused to accept it.

Hadith 2928
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying: Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The amir (ruler) who is over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for hs flock ; a man is a shepherd in charge of the inhabitants of his household and he is responsible for his flock ; a woman is a shepherdess in charge of her husband's house and children and she is responsible for them; and a man's slave is a shepherd in charge of his master's property and he is responsible for it. So each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.

Narrated Abu Musa: I went along with two men to see the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. One of them recited tashahhud and said: We have come to you so that you may employ us for your work. The other also said the same thing. He (the Prophet) replied: The most faithless of you in our eyes is the one who asked for it (responsible post). Abu Musa then apologized to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and said: I did not know why they came to you. He did not employ them for anything until he died.

He appoints for him an evil minister who does not remind him if he forgets and does not help him if he remembers.
