Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah)

اسماء بنت عمیس رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! فاطمہ بنت ابی حبیش کو اتنے اتنے دنوں سے ( خون ) استحاضہ آ رہا ہے تو وہ نماز نہیں پڑھ سکی ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سبحان اللہ! یہ تو شیطان کی طرف سے ہے، وہ ایک لگن میں بیٹھ جائیں، جب پانی پر زردی دیکھیں تو ظہر و عصر کے لیے ایک غسل، مغرب و عشاء کے لیے ایک غسل، اور فجر کے لیے ایک غسل کریں، اور اس کے درمیان میں وضو کرتی رہیں ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے مجاہد نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کیا ہے، اس میں ہے کہ جب ان پر غسل کرنا دشوار ہو گیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں ایک غسل سے دو نمازیں جمع کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: نیز اسے ابراہیم نے بھی ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کیا ہے اور یہی قول ابراہیم نخعی اور عبداللہ بن شداد کا بھی ہے۔

Asma daughter of Unais said: I said: Messenger of Allah, Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaish had a flow of blood for a certain period and did not pray. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Glory be to Allah! This comes from the devil. She should sit in a tub, and when she sees yellowness of the top of the water, she would take a bath once for the Zuhr and Asr prayer, and take another bath for the Maghrib and 'Isha prayers, and take a bath once for the fajr prayer, and in between times she would perform ablution. Abu Dawud said: Mujahid reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas: When bathing became hard for her, he commanded her to combine the two prayers. Abu Dawud said: Ibrahim reported it from Ibn Abbas. This is also the view of Ibrahim al-Nakha'i and Abdullah bin Shaddad.
