حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عِرَاكٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: إِنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الدَّمِ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَرَأَيْتُ مِرْكَنَهَا مَلْآنَ دَمًا، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: امْكُثِي قَدْرَ مَا كَانَتْ تَحْبِسُكِ حَيْضَتُكِ، ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد: وَرَوَاهُ قُتَيْبَةُ بَيْنَ أَضْعَافِ حَدِيثِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ فِي آخِرِهَا، وَرَوَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، وَيُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ اللَّيْثِ، فَقَالَا: جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ.
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ( استحاضہ ) کے خون کے بارے میں سوال کیا، عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے ان کے لگن کو خون سے بھرا دیکھا، تو ان سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جتنے دنوں تک تمہیں تمہارا حیض پہلے روکتا تھا اسی کے بقدر رکی رہو، پھر غسل کرو ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اور اسے قتیبہ نے جعفر بن ربیعہ کی حدیث کے آخر میں بین السطور یا حاشیہ میں روایت کیا ہے نیز اسے علی بن عیاش، اور یونس بن محمد نے لیث سے روایت کیا ہے، اور دونوں نے ( جعفر کے بجائے ) جعفر بن ربیعہ کہا ہے۔
Aishah reported: Umm Habibah asked the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم about the blood (which flows beyond the period of menstruation). Aishah said: I saw her wash-tub full of blood. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said; Keep away (from prayer) equal (to the length of time) that your menses prevented you. Then wash yourself. Abu Dawud said: Qutaibah mentioned the name Jaftar bin Rabiah in the middle of the text of the tradition for the second time (i. e., Qutaibah, being doubtful about the narrator Jafar bin Rabiah, mentioned his name twice: once in the chain and again while reporting the text). Ali bin Ayyash and yunus bin Muhammad reported it on the authority of al-Laith. They mentioned the name Jafar bin Rabiah.

Abu al-Tayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from Abu Musa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply Abu Musa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of theMessenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.

Anas bin Malik reported: When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم entered the toilet, he used to say (before entering): O Allaah, I seek refuge in Thee. This is according to the version of Hammad. Abd al-Warith has another version: I seek refuge in Allaah from male and female devils.
