Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)

سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں غزوہ بدر کے دن نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک تلوار لے کر آیا اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! آج اللہ نے میرے سینے کو دشمنوں سے شفاء دی، لہٰذا آپ مجھے یہ تلوار دے دیجئیے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ تلوار نہ تو میری ہے نہ تمہاری یہ سن کر میں چلا اور کہتا جاتا تھا: یہ تلوار آج ایسے شخص کو ملے گی جس نے مجھ جیسا کارنامہ انجام نہیں دیا ہے، اسی دوران مجھے قاصد بلانے کے لیے آیا، اور کہا چلو، میں نے سوچا شاید میرے اس بات کے کہنے کی وجہ سے میرے سلسلے میں کچھ وحی نازل ہوئی ہے، چنانچہ میں آیا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: تم نے یہ تلوار مانگی جب کہ یہ تلوار نہ تو میری ہے نہ تمہاری، اب اسے اللہ نے مجھے عطا کر دیا ہے، لہٰذا ( اب ) یہ تمہاری ہے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ آیت کریمہ پوری پڑھی«يسألونك عن الأنفال قل الأنفال لله والرسول» ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی قرأت «يسألونك عن النفل» ہے۔

Musab bin Saad reported on the authority of his father (Saad bin Abi Waqqas) “I brought a sword to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم on the day of the Badr and I said (to him) Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, Allaah has healed up my breast from the enemy today, so give me this sword. He said “This sword is neither mine nor yours. I then went away saying “today this will be given to a man who has not been put to trial like me. Meanwhile a messenger and came to me and said “Respond, I thought something was revealed about me owing to my speech. I came and the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to me “You asked me for this sword, but this was neither mine nor yours. Now Allaah has given it to me, hence it is yours. He then recited “they ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say “ (Such) spoils are at the disposal of Allaah and the Messenger. Abu Dawud said “According to the reading of the Quran of Ibn Masud the verse goes. They ask thee concerning (things taken as ) spoils of war.
