حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ سَمِعَ الشَّعْبِيَّ، عَنْ الْخَلِيلِ، أَوْ ابْنِ الْخَلِيلِ، قَالَ: أُتِيَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي امْرَأَةٍ وَلَدَتْ مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ، نَحْوَهُ، لَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْيَمَنَ، وَلَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَا قَوْلَهُ طِيبَا بِالْوَلَدِ .
خلیل یا ابن خلیل کہتے ہیں کہ علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس ایک عورت کا مقدمہ لایا گیا جس نے تین آدمیوں سے صحبت کے بعد ایک لڑکا جنا تھا، آگے اسی طرح کی روایت ہے اس میں نہ تو انہوں نے یمن کا ذکر کیا ہے، نہ ہی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا، اور نہ ( علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے ) اس قول کا کہ خوشی سے تم دونوں لڑکے کو اسے ( تیسرے کو ) دے دو۔
Khalil or Ibn Khalil said “A woman was brought to Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allaah be pleased with him). She bore a child from intercourse of three persons. The narrator transmitted the rest of the tradition similar to the previous one. But in this version he did not mention “Yemen” and the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and his words “give the child willingly. ”

Abdullah bin Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating during the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. So Umar bin Al Khattab asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم about this matter. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said “Order him, he must take her back and keep her back till she is purified, then has another menstrual period and is purified. Thereafter if he desires he may divorce her before having intercourse with her, for that is the period of waiting which Allaah the Glorified has commanded for the divorce of women. ”
