حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ حِينَ نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ: أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ أَدْخَلَتْ عَلَى قَوْمٍ مَنْ لَيْسَ مِنْهُمْ، فَلَيْسَتْ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِي شَيْءٍ، وَلَنْ يُدْخِلَهَا اللَّهُ جَنَّتَهُ، وَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ جَحَدَ وَلَدَهُ وَهُوَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ، احْتَجَبَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ وَفَضَحَهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جس وقت آیت لعان نازل ہوئی انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: جس عورت نے کسی قوم میں ایسے فرد کو شامل کر دیا جو حقیقت میں اس قوم کا فرد نہیں ہے، تو وہ اللہ کی رحمت سے دور رہے گی، اسے اللہ تعالیٰ جنت میں ہرگز داخل نہ کرے گا، اسی طرح جس شخص نے اپنے بچے کا انکار کیا حالانکہ اسے معلوم ہے کہ وہ اس کا بچہ ہے، اسے اللہ تعالیٰ کا دیدار نصیب نہ ہو گا، اور وہ اگلی پچھلی ساری مخلوق کے سامنے اسے رسوا کرے گا ۱؎ ۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah: Abu Hurairah heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say when the verse about invoking curses came down: Any woman who brings to her family one who does not belong to it has nothing to do with Allah (i. e. expects no mercy from Allah), and Allah will not bring her into His Paradise. Allah, the Exalted, will veil Himself from any man who disowns his child when he looks at him, and disgrace him in the presence of all creatures, first and last.

Abdullah bin Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating during the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. So Umar bin Al Khattab asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم about this matter. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said “Order him, he must take her back and keep her back till she is purified, then has another menstrual period and is purified. Thereafter if he desires he may divorce her before having intercourse with her, for that is the period of waiting which Allaah the Glorified has commanded for the divorce of women. ”
