حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَدِيثٍ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلْمِقْدَادِ: فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد، وَرَوَاهُ الْمُفَضَّلُ بن فضالة وجماعة، والثوري، وابن عيينة، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَادِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لَمْ يَذْكُرْ: أُنْثَيَيْهِ.
علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا، پھر راوی نے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث ذکر کی۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اور اسے مفضل بن فضالہ، ایک جماعت، ثوری اور ابن عیینہ نے ہشام سے، ہشام نے اپنے والد عروہ سے، عروہ نے علی بن ابی طالب سے روایت کیا ہے، نیز اسے ابن اسحاق نے ہشام بن عروہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد عروہ سے، عروہ نے مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور مقداد نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے، مگر اس میں لفظ «أنثييه» دونوں فوطوں کا ذکر نہیں ہے۔
Urwah reported on the Authority of his father a tradition from Ali bin Abi Talib who said: I Asked al-Miqdad (to consult the prophet). He then narrated the tradition bearing the same meaning. Abu Dawud said; this tradition has been reported with another chain of narrators. This version does not mention the word “testicles”.

Abu al-Tayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from Abu Musa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply Abu Musa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of theMessenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.
