حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَمُسَدَّدٌ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ الْحَجَبِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي خَالِي، عَنْ أُمِّيصَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ الَأسْلَمِيَّةَ، تَقُولُ: قُلْتُ لِعُثْمَانَ: مَا قَالَ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ دَعَاكَ ؟ قَالَ: قَالَ: إِنِّي نَسِيتُ أَنْ آمُرَكَ أَنْ تُخَمِّرَ الْقَرْنَيْنِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي الْبَيْتِ شَيْءٌ يَشْغَلُ الْمُصَلِّيَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ السَّرْحِ: خَالِي مُسَافِعُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ.
اسلمیہ کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا ۱؎: جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آپ کو بلایا تو آپ سے کیا کہا؟ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں تمہیں یہ بتانا بھول گیا کہ مینڈھے ۲؎ کی دونوں سینگوں کو چھپا دو اس لیے کہ کعبہ میں کوئی چیز ایسی رہنی مناسب نہیں ہے جو نماز پڑھنے والے کو غافل کر دے ۔
Al-Aslamiyyah said: I said to Uthman ibn Talhah al-Hajabi): What did the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say to you when he called you? He said: (The Prophet said: ) I forgot to order you to cover the two horns (of the lamb), for it is not advisable that there should be anything in the House (the Kabah) which diverts the attention of the man at prayer. Ibn as-Sarh said: The name of my maternal uncle is Musafi' ibn Shaybah.

Hadith 1721
Narrated Aqra ibn Habib: Ibn Abbas said: Aqra ibn Habis asked the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم saying: Messenger of Allah hajj is to be performed annually or only once? He replied: Only once, and if anyone performs it more often, he performs a supererogatory act. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Abu Sinan is Abu Sinan al-Du'wail. The same has been reported by both Abd al-Jalil bin Humaid and Sulaiman bin Kathir from al-Zuhri. The narrator 'Uqail reported the name Sinan .

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying: A woman who believes in Allah and the last Day must not make a journey of a day and a night. He then narrated the rest of the tradition to the same effect (as above). The narrator al-Nufaili said: Malik narrated us. Abu Dawud said: The narrators al-Nufail and al_Qanabi did not mention the words “from his father”. Ibn Wahb and Uthman bin Umr narrated from Malik the same words as narrated by al-Qanabi (i. e. omitted the words “from his father”).
