حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ بْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ فَسَقَتْهُ قَدَحًا مِنْ سَوِيقٍ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَمَضْمَضَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا ابْنَ أُخْتِي أَلَا تَوَضَّأُ ؟، إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ، أَوْ قَالَ: مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد: فِي حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، يَا ابْنَ أَخِي.
ابوسفیان بن سعید بن مغیرہ کا بیان ہے کہ وہ ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس آئے، تو ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے انہیں ایک پیالہ ستو پلایا، پھر ( ابوسفیان ) نے پانی منگا کر کلی کی، ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: میرے بھانجے! تم وضو کیوں نہیں کرتے؟ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: جنہیں آگ نے بدل ڈالا ہو ، یا فرمایا: جنہیں آگ نے چھوا ہو، ان چیزوں سے وضو کرو ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: زہری کی حدیث میں لفظ: «يا ابن أخي» اے میرے بھتیجے ہے۔
Narrated Umm Habibah: Abu Sufyan ibn Saeed ibn al-Mughirah reported that he entered upon Umm Habibah who presented him a glass of sawiq (a drink prepared with flour and water) to drink. He called for water and rinsed his mouth. She said: O my cousin, don't you perform ablution? The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Perform ablution after eating anything cooked with fire, or he said: anything touched by fire. Abu Dawud said: The version of al-Zuhri has: O my paternal cousin.

Abu al-Tayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from Abu Musa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply Abu Musa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of theMessenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.
