حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالرَّوْحَاءِ فَلَقِيَ رَكْبًا فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ، قَالَ: مَنِ الْقَوْمُ ؟ فَقَالُوا: الْمُسْلِمُونَ، فَقَالُوا: فَمَنْ أَنْتُمْ ؟ قَالُوا: رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَفَزِعَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَأَخَذَتْ بِعَضُدِ صَبِيٍّ فَأَخْرَجَتْهُ مِنْ مِحَفَّتِهَا، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلْ لِهَذَا حَجٌّ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ وَلَكِ أَجْرٌ .
بداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مقام روحاء میں تھے کہ آپ کو کچھ سوار ملے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں سلام کیا اور پوچھا: کون لوگ ہو؟ ، انہوں نے جواب دیا: ہم مسلمان ہیں، پھر ان لوگوں نے پوچھا: آپ کون ہو؟ لوگوں نے انہیں بتایا کہ آپ اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہیں تو ایک عورت گھبرا گئی پھر اس نے اپنے بچے کا بازو پکڑا اور اسے اپنے محفے ۱؎ سے نکالا اور بولی: اللہ کے رسول! کیا اس کا بھی حج ہو جائے گا ۲؎؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں، اور اجر تمہارے لیے ہے ۔
Ibn Abbas said the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was at al-Rawha. There he met some riders. He saluted them and asked who they were. They replied that they were Muslims. They asked who are you. They (the companions) replied he is the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. A woman became upset: she took her child by his arm and lifted him from her litter at the camel. She said Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم can this (child) be credited with having performed Hajj. He replied Yes, and you will have a reward.

Hadith 1721
Narrated Aqra ibn Habib: Ibn Abbas said: Aqra ibn Habis asked the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم saying: Messenger of Allah hajj is to be performed annually or only once? He replied: Only once, and if anyone performs it more often, he performs a supererogatory act. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Abu Sinan is Abu Sinan al-Du'wail. The same has been reported by both Abd al-Jalil bin Humaid and Sulaiman bin Kathir from al-Zuhri. The narrator 'Uqail reported the name Sinan .

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying: A woman who believes in Allah and the last Day must not make a journey of a day and a night. He then narrated the rest of the tradition to the same effect (as above). The narrator al-Nufaili said: Malik narrated us. Abu Dawud said: The narrators al-Nufail and al_Qanabi did not mention the words “from his father”. Ibn Wahb and Uthman bin Umr narrated from Malik the same words as narrated by al-Qanabi (i. e. omitted the words “from his father”).
