حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ اسْتُصْرِخَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ، فَسَارَ حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَبَدَتِ النُّجُومُ، فَقَالَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا عَجِلَ بِهِ أَمْرٌ فِي سَفَرٍ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ، فَسَارَ حَتَّى غَابَ الشَّفَقُ، فَنَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا .
نافع کہتے ہیں کہ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو صفیہ ۱؎ کی موت کی خبر دی گئی اس وقت مکہ میں تھے تو آپ چلے ( اور چلتے رہے ) یہاں تک کہ سورج ڈوب گیا اور ستارے نظر آنے لگے، تو عرض کیا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو سفر میں جب کسی کام کی عجلت ہوتی تو آپ یہ دونوں ( مغرب اور عشاء ) ایک ساتھ ادا کرتے، پھر وہ شفق غائب ہونے تک چلتے رہے ٹھہر کر دونوں کو ایک ساتھ ادا کیا۔
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Ibn Umar was informed about the death of Safiyyah (the wife of the Prophet) when he was at Makkah. He proceeded till the sun set and the stars shined. He said: When the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was in a hurry about something while on a journey, he would combine both these prayers. He proceed till twilight had disappeared. He then combined both of them (the prayers).
