حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ - أَوِ الْعَصْرِ - فَقَالَ: «أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ خَلْفِي بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى؟» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَنَا وَلَمْ أُرِدْ بِهَا إِلَّا الْخَيْرَ، قَالَ: «قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ خَالَجَنِيهَا»
ابو عوانہ نے قتادہ سے ، انہوں نے زرارہ بن اوفیٰ سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہﷺ نے ہمیں ظہر یا عصر کی نماز پڑھائی ، پھر فرمایا : ’’ تم میں سے کس نے میرے پیچھے ﴿سبح اسم ربك الأعلى﴾ پڑھی؟ ‘ ‘ تو ایک آدمی نے کہا : میں نے ، اور خیر کے سوا اس سے میں اورکچھ نہیں چاہتا تھا ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’مجھے علم ہو گیا کہ تم میں سے کوئی مجھے اس ( یعنی قراءت ) میں الجھا رہا ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
lmrin b. Husain reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace beupon him) led us In Zuhr or 'Asr prayer (noon or the afternoon prayer). (On concluding it) he said: Who recited behind me (the verses): Sabbih Isma Rabbik al-a'la (Glorify the name of thy Lord, the Most High)? There upon a person said: It was I, but I in- tended nothing but goodness. I felt that some one of you was disputing with me in it (or he was taking out from my tongue what I was reciting), said the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ).

Abu Mahdhura said that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) taught him Adhan like this: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and it should be again repeated: I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to the prayer (twice). Come to success (twice). Ishaq added: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there Is no god but Allah.
