حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، - قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا، وَقَالَ الْآخَرَانِ - حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ النِّدَاءَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ذَهَبَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مَكَانَ الرَّوْحَاءِ» قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ: فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّوْحَاءِ فَقَالَ: «هِيَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ سِتَّةٌ وَثَلَاثُونَ مِيلًا»
۔ جریر نے اعمش سے ، انہوں نے ابو سفیان ( طلحہ بن نافع ) سے اور انہوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے نبیﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا : بلاشبہ شیطان جب نماز کی پکار ( اذان ) سنتا ہے تو ( بھاگ کر ) چلا جاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ روحاء کے مقام پر پہنچ جاتا ہے ۔ ‘ ‘ سلیمان ( اعمش ) نے کہا : میں نے ان ( اپنے استاد ابو سفیان طلحہ بن نافع ) سے روحاء کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا : یہ مدینہ سے چھتیس میل ( کے فاصلے ) پر ہے ۔
Abu Sufyan reported it on the authority of Jabir that he had heard the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) say: When Satan hears the call to prayer, he runs away to a distance like that of Rauha. Sulaimin said: I asked him about Rauha. He replied: It is at a distance of thirty-six miles from Medina.

Abu Mahdhura said that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) taught him Adhan like this: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and it should be again repeated: I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to the prayer (twice). Come to success (twice). Ishaq added: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there Is no god but Allah.
