وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَعْلَةَ السَّبَإِيُّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، قُلْتُ: إِنَّا نَكُونُ بِالْمَغْرِبِ فَيَأْتِينَا الْمَجُوسُ بِالْأَسْقِيَةِ فِيهَا الْمَاءُ وَالْوَدَكُ، فَقَالَ: اشْرَبْ. فَقُلْتُ: أَرَأْيٌ تَرَاهُ؟ فَقَالَ: ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «دِبَاغُهُ طَهُورُهُ»
۔ جعفر بن ربیعہ نے ابو خیر سے روایت کی ، کہا : مجھ سے ابن وعلہ سبائی نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عبد اللہ بن عباسؓ سے پوچھا : ہم مغرب میں ہوتے ہیں تو مجوسی ہمارے پاس پانی اور چربی کے مشکیزے لاتے ہیں ۔ انہوں نے کہا : پی لیا کرو ۔ میں نے پوچھا : کیا آپ اپنی رائےبتا رہے ہیں؟ ابن عباسؓ نے جواب دیا : میں نے رسول اللہﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سناے : ’’ اس کو رنگنا اس کو پاک کر دیتا ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
Ibn Wa'la al-Saba'i reported: I asked 'Abdullah b. 'Abbas saying: We are the inhabitants of the western regions. The Magians come to us with skins full of water and fat. He said: Drink. I said to him: Is it your own opinion? Ibn Abbas said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) say: Tanning purifies it (the skin).

A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked her to tie waist-wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then embraced her; and she ('A'isha) observed: And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had over his desires.
