وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْمُرَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ، - خَتَنَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَحْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ - اسْتُحِيضَتْ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ. فَاسْتَفْتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ وَلَكِنَّ هَذَا عِرْقٌ فَاغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي» قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: «فَكَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ فِي مِرْكَنٍ فِي حُجْرَةِ أُخْتِهَا زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ حَتَّى تَعْلُوَ حُمْرَةُ الدَّمِ الْمَاءَ» قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِذَلِكَ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، فَقَالَ: «يَرْحَمُ اللهُ هِنْدًا لَوْ سَمِعَتْ بِهَذِهِ الْفُتْيَا وَاللهِ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَتَبْكِي لِأَنَّهَا كَانَتْ لَا تُصَلِّي».
( لیث کے بجائے ) عمرو بن حارث نے ابن شہاب سے ، انہوں نے عروہ بن زبیر اورعمرہ بنت عبدالرحمن سے ، انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی زوجہ عائشہ ؓ سے روایت کی کہ ام حبیبہ بنت جحش رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خواہر نسبتی کو ، جو ( ام المومنین زینب بن جحش کی بہن اور ) عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیوی تھیں ، سات سال تک استحاضہ کا عارضہ لاحق رہا ۔ انہو ں نے ا س کے بارے میں رسول اللہ ﷺ سے فتویٰ دریافت کیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’یہ حیض ( کا خون ) نہیں بلکہ یہ ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے ، لہٰذا تم غسل کرو اور نماز پڑھو ۔ ‘ ‘ عائشہ ؓ نے کہا : وہ اپنی بہن زینب بن جحش ؓ کے حجرے میں ایک بڑے تشت ( ٹب ) میں غسل کرتیں تو پانی پر خون کی سرخی غالب آ جاتی ۔ ابن شہاب نے کہا : میں یہ حدیث ابو بکر بن عبدالرحمن بن حارث کوسنائی تو انہوں نے کہا : اللہ تعالیٰ ہند پر رحم فرمائے! کاش وہ بھی یہ فتویٰ سن لیتیں ۔ اللہ کی قسم ! وہ اس بات پر روتی رہتی تھیں کہ استحاضے کی وجہ سے وہ نماز نہیں پڑھ سکتی تھیں ۔
A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) reported: Umm Habiba b. Jahsh who was the sister-in-law of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and the wife of 'Abd al-Rahman b. Auf, remained mustahada for seven years, and she, therefore, asked for the verdict of Shari'ah from the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about it The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: This is not menstruation, but (blood from) a vein: so bathe yourself and offer prayer. 'A'isha said: She took a bath in the wash-tub placed in the apartment of her sister Zainab b. Jahsh, till the redness of the blood came over the water. Ibn Shihab said: I narrated it to Abu Bakr b. 'Abd al-Rahman b. al-Harith b. Hisham about it who observed: May Allah have mercy on Hinda! would that she listened to this verdict. By Lord, she wept for not offering prayer.

A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked her to tie waist-wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then embraced her; and she ('A'isha) observed: And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had over his desires.
