وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ، جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ، إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ أُسْتَحَاضُ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ. أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ فَقَالَ: «لَا. إِنَّمَا ذَلِكِ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضَةِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي».
وکیع نے ہشام بن عروہ سے ، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عائشہؓ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : فاطمہ بنت ابی حبیش نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئیں اور کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں ایک ایسی عورت ہوں جسے استحاضہ ہوتا ہے ، اس لیے میں پاک نہیں ہو سکتی تو کیا میں نماز چھوڑ دوں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’نہیں ، یہ تو بس ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے حیض نہیں ہے ، لہٰذا جب حیض شروع ہو تو نماز چھوڑ دو اور جب حیض بند ہو جائے تو اپنے ( جسم ) سے خون دھو لیا کرو اور نماز پڑھو ۔ ‘ ‘
A'isha reported: Fatimah b. Abu Hubaish came to the Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and said: I am a woman whose blood keeps flowing (even after the menstruation period). I am never purified; should I, therefore, abandon prayer? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Not at all, for that is only a vein, and is not a menstruation, so when menstruation comes, abandon prayer, and when it ends wash the blood from yourself and then pray.

A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked her to tie waist-wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then embraced her; and she ('A'isha) observed: And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had over his desires.
