حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ شَرِيكٍ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيَفِرَّنَّ النَّاسُ مِنْ الدَّجَّالِ فِي الْجِبَالِ قَالَتْ أُمُّ شَرِيكٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَيْنَ الْعَرَبُ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ هُمْ قَلِيلٌ
حجاج بن محمد نے کہا : ابن جریج نے کہا کہ مجھے ابو زبیر نے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے حضر ت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ مجھے ام شریک نے خبر دی کہ انھوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمارہے تھے : " لوگ دجال سے فرار ہوکر پہاڑوں میں جائیں گے ۔ " حضرت ام شریک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا : اللہ کےرسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! اس وقت عرب کہاں ہوں گے؟ ( جو دین کے دفاع میں سینہ سپر ہوجاتے ہیں ۔ ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا؛ " وہ بہت کم ہوں گے ۔ "
Umm Sharik reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: The people would run away from the Dajjal seeking shelter in the mountains. She said: Where would be the Arabs then in that day? He said: They would be small in number.

And Sufyan made a sign of ten with the help of his hand (in order to indicate the width of the gap) and I said: Allah's Messenger, would we be perished in spite of the fact that there would be good people amongst us? Thereupon he said: Of course, but only when the evil predominates.

Zainab bint Jahsh, the wife of Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), reported that one day Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) came out in a state of excitement with his face quite red. And he was saying: There is no god but Allah; there is a destruction in store for Arabia because of the turmoil which is near at hand as the barrier of Gog and Magog has been opened like it, and he (in order to explain it) made a ring with the help of his thumb and forefinger. I said: Allah's Messenger, would we be destroyed despite the fact that there would be pious people amongst us? He said: Yes, when evil would be predominant.
