حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْمِقْدَادُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تُدْنَى الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ الْخَلْقِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ كَمِقْدَارِ مِيلٍ قَالَ سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْرِي مَا يَعْنِي بِالْمِيلِ أَمَسَافَةَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ الْمِيلَ الَّذِي تُكْتَحَلُ بِهِ الْعَيْنُ قَالَ فَيَكُونُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدْرِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فِي الْعَرَقِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ إِلَى كَعْبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ إِلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ إِلَى حَقْوَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُلْجِمُهُ الْعَرَقُ إِلْجَامًا قَالَ وَأَشَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى فِيهِ
عبد الرحمٰن بن جابر سے روایت ہے کہا مجھے نیلم بن عامر نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : مجھے حضرت مقدادبن اسود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا : "" قیامت کے دن سورج مخلوقات کے بہت نزدیک آجائے گا حتی کہ ان سے ایک میل کے فاصلے پر ہو گا ۔ نیلم بن عامر نے کہا : اللہ کی قسم!مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ میل سے ان ( مقداد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) کی مراد مسافت ہے یا وہ سلائی جس سے آنکھ میں سرمہ ڈالاجاتا ہے؟آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : "" لوگ اپنے اعمال کے مطابق پسینے میں ( ڈوبے ) ہوں گےان میں سے کوئی اپنے دونوں ٹخنوں تک کو ئی اپنے دونوں گھٹنوں تک کوئی اپنے دونوں کولہوں تک اور کوئی ایسا ہو گا جسے پسینے نے لگام ڈال رکی ہو گی ۔ "" ( مقداد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) کہا : اور ( ایسا فرماتےہوئے ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اپنے دہن مبارک کی طرف اشارہ فرمایا ۔
Miqdad b. Aswad reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) as saying: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would draw so close to the people that there woum be left only a distance of one mile. Sulaim b. Amir said: By Allah, I do not know whether he meant by mile the mile of the (material) earth or dn instrument used for applying collyrium to the eye. (The Prophet is, however, reported to have said): The people would be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their. knees, Some up to the waist and some would have the bridle of perspiration and, while saying this, Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) pointed his hand towards his mouth.

He then recited: No soul knows what comfort has been concealed from them, as a reward for what they did . (xxxii. 17)
