حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَتْ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ» فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ: وَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، قَالَتْ: وَهَلْ يَكُونُ هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «نَعَمْ، فَمِنْ أَيْنَ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ؟ إِنَّ مَاءَ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ أَبْيَضُ، وَمَاءَ الْمَرْأَةِ رَقِيقٌ أَصْفَرُ، فَمِنْ أَيِّهِمَا عَلَا، أَوْ سَبَقَ، يَكُونُ مِنْهُ الشَّبَهُ»
قتادہ سےروایت ہے کہ حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں حدیث سنائی کہ ام سلیم ؓ نے ( انہیں ) بتایا کہ انہوں نے نبی اکرمﷺ سے ایسی عورت کے بارے میں پوچھا جونیند میں وہی چیز دیکھتی ہے جو مرد دیکھتا ہے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’جب عورت یہ چیز دیکھے تو غسل کرے ۔ ‘ ‘ ام المومنین حضرت ام سلمہ ؓ نے فرمایا : میں اس بات پر شرما گئی ۔ ( پھر ) آپ بولیں : کیا ایسا بھی ہوتا ہے ؟ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ہاں ، ( ورنہ ) پھر مشابہت کیسے پیدا ہوتی ہے ؟مرد کا پانی گاڑھا سفید ہوتا ہے اور عورت کا پانی پتلا اور زرد ہوتا ہے ، ان دونوں میں سے جس ( کے حصے ) کو غلبہ مل جائے یا ( نئی تشکیل میں ) سبقت لے جائے تو اسی سے ( بچے کی ) مشابہت ہوتی ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
Anas b. Malik reported that Umm Sulaim narrated it that she asked the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about a woman who sees in a dream what a man sees (sexual dream). The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon bi m) said: In case a woman sees that, she must take a bath. Umm Sulaim said: I was bashful on account of that and said: Does it happen? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Yes (it does happen), otherwise how can (a child) resemble her? Man's discharge (i. e. sperm) is thick and white and the discharge of woman is thin and yellow; so the resemblance comes from the one whose genes prevail or dominate.

A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked her to tie waist-wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then embraced her; and she ('A'isha) observed: And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had over his desires.
