وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ تُصِيبُهُ جَنَابَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ، ثُمَّ نَمْ»
عبداللہ بن دینار سے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسو ل اللہ ﷺ کے سامنے ذکر کیا کہ رات کے وقت وہ جنابت سے دو چار ہو جاتے ہیں ۔ تو رسول اللہ ﷺنے ان سے کہا : ’’وضو کر اور ( اس سے پہلے ) اپناعضو مخصوص دھولو ، پھر سو جاؤ ۔ ‘ ‘
Ibn Umar reported: Umar b. al-Khattab said to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), that he became Junbi during the night. The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said to him: Perform ablution, wash your sexual organ and then go to sleep.

A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked her to tie waist-wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then embraced her; and she ('A'isha) observed: And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had over his desires.
