حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ لَقِيَهُ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ، وَحَمَلَهُ عَلَى حِمَارٍ كَانَ يَرْكَبُهُ. وَأَعْطَاهُ عِمَامَةً، كَانَتْ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ: فَقُلْنَا لَهُ: أَصْلَحَكَ اللهُ إِنَّهُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ وَإِنَّهُمْ يَرْضَوْنَ بِالْيَسِيرِ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: إِنَّ أَبَا هَذَا كَانَ وُدًّا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ أَبَرَّ الْبِرِّ صِلَةُ الْوَلَدِ أَهْلَ وُدِّ أَبِيهِ»
ولید بن ولید نے عبداللہ بن دینار سے ، انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ان کو مکہ مکرمہ کے راستے میں ایک بدوی شخص ملا ، حضرت عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان کو سلام کیا اور جس گدھے پر خود سوار ہوتے تھے اس پر اسے بھی سوار کر لیا اور اپنے سر پر جو عمامہ تھا وہ اتار کر اس کے حوالے کر دیا ۔ ابن دینار نے کہا : ہم نے ان سے عرض کی : اللہ تعالیٰ آپ کو ہر نیکی کی توفیق عطا فرمائے! یہ بدو لوگ تھوڑے دیے پر راضی ہو جاتے ہیں ۔ تو حضرت عبداللہ ( بن عمر ) رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا : اس شخص کا والد حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کا محبوب دوست تھا اور میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ فرما رہے تھے : " والدین کے ساتھ بہترین سلون ان لوگوں کے ساتھ حسن سلوک ہے جن کے ساتھ اس کے والد کو محبت تھی ۔ "
bn Dinar reported that a desert Arab met Abdullah b. 'Umar on the way to Mecca. 'Abdullah greeted him and mounted him upon the donkey on which he had been riding and gave him the turban that he had on his head. Ibn Dinar (further) reported: We said to him ('Abdullah b. 'Umar): May Allah do good to you, these are desert Arabs and they are satisfied even with meagre (things). Thereupon Abdullah said: His father was loved dearly by 'Umar b. Khattib and I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: The finest act of goodness on the part of a son is to treat kindly the loved ones of his father.

Hadith 6500
Abu Huraira reported that a person came to Allah, 's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and said: Who among the people is most deserving of a fine treatment from my hand? He said: Your mother. He again said: Then who (is the next one)? He said: Again it is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said: Then who (is the next one)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Again, it is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon he said: Then it is your father. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Qutalba, there is no mention of the word the people .
