وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ رَجُلًا حَيِيًّا، قَالَ فَكَانَ لَا يُرَى مُتَجَرِّدًا، قَالَ فَقَالَ: بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ: إِنَّهُ آدَرُ، قَالَ: فَاغْتَسَلَ عِنْدَ مُوَيْهٍ، فَوَضَعَ ثَوْبهُ عَلَى حَجَرٍ، فَانْطَلَقَ الْحَجَرُ يَسْعَى، وَاتَّبَعَهُ بِعَصَاهُ يَضْرِبُهُ: ثَوْبِي، حَجَرُ ثَوْبِي، حَجَرُ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى مَلَأٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَنَزَلَتْ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَجِيهًا} [الأحزاب: 69]
عبد اللہ بن شفیق نے کہا : ہمیں حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بتایا کہا : حضرت موسی علیہ السلام باحیا مرد تھے ، کہا : انھیں برہنہ نہیں دیکھا جا سکتا تھا کہا تو بنی اسرا ئیل نے کہا : انھیں خصیتین کی سوجن ہے ۔ کہا : ( ایک دن ) انھوں نے تھوڑے سے پانی ( کے ایک تالاب ) کے پاس غسل کیا اور اپنے کپڑے پتھر پر رکھ دیے تو وہ پتھر بھاگ نکلا آپ علیہ السلام اپنا عصالیے اس کے پیچھے ہو لیے اسے مارتے تھے ( اور کہتے تھے ۔ ) میرے کپڑے پتھر!میرے کپڑے پتھر!یہاں تک کہ وہ بنی اسرائیل کے ایک مجمع کے سامنے رک گیا ۔ اور ( اس کےحوالے سے آیت ) اتری : " ایمان والو! ان لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جا ؤ جنھوں نے موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو ایذادی اور اللہ نے موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو ان کی کہی ہو ئی بات سے براءت عطا کی اور وہ اللہ کے نزدیک انتہائی وجیہ ( خوبصورت اور وجاہت والے ) تھے ۔ "
Abu Huraira reported that Moses was a modest person. He was never seen naked and Banu Isra'iI said: (He was afraid to expose his private part) because he had been suffering from scrotal hernia. He (one day) took bath in water and placed his garments upon a stone. The stone began to move on quickly. He followed that and struck it with the help of a stone (saying): O stone, my garment; O stone, my garments, O stone; until it stopped near the big gathering of Isrii'll, and this verse was revealed (pertaining to the incident): O you who believe, be not Iike those who maligned Moses, but Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was worthy of regard with Allah (xxxiii. 69).

Anas reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) called for water and he was given a vessel and the people began to perform ablution in that and I counted (the persons) and they were between fifty and eighty and I saw water which was spouting from his fingers.

Anas b. Malik reported: I saw Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) during the time of the afternoon prayer and the people asking for water for performing ablution which they did not find. (A small quantity) of water was brought to Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and he placed his hand in that vessel and commanded people to perform ablution. I saw water spouting from his fingers and the people performing ablution until the last amongst them performed it.
