وَحَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقْتُلُ الْحَيَّاتِ كُلَّهُنَّ حَتَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو لُبَابَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْبَدْرِيُّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ جِنَّانِ الْبُيُوتِ، فَأَمْسَكَ»
جریر بن حازم نے کہا : ہمیں نافع نے حدیث سنا ئی کہا : حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سانپوں کو مار ڈالتے تھے ، حتی کہ حضرت ابو لبابہ بن عبد المنذربدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے ہم لوگوں کو یہ حدیث بیان کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( مدت سے ) گھروں میں رہنے والے سانپوں کو مارنے سے منع فر ما یا ہے ۔ پھر حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ رک گئے ۔
Nafi' reported that Ibn 'Urnar used to kill all types of snakes until Abu Lubaba b. 'Abd al-Mundhir Badri reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had forbidden the killing of the snakes of the houses, and so he abstained from it.

He stood by us and said: What about you and your meetings on the paths? Avoid these meetings on the paths. We said: We were sitting here without (any intention of doing harm to the passers-by) ; we are sitting to discuss matters and to hold conversation amongst ourselves. Abu Sa'id Khudri reported Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Avoid sitting on the paths. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, we cannot help but holding our meetings (in these paths) and discuss matters (there). Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: If you insist on holding meetings, then give the path its due right. They said: What are its due rights? Upon this he said: Lowering the gaze, refraining from doing harm, exchanging of greetings. commanding of good and forbidding from evil.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Five are the rights of a Muslim over his brother: responding to salutation, saying Yarhamuk Allah when anybody sneezes and says al-Hamdulillah, visiting the sick. following the bier. ' Abd al-Razzaq said that this hadith has been transmitted as mursal hadith from Zuhri and he then substantiated it on the authority of Ibn Musayyib.
