حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِآلِ حَزْمٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ وَقَالَ لِأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً تُصِيبُهُمْ الْحَاجَةُ قَالَتْ لَا وَلَكِنْ الْعَيْنُ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ قَالَتْ فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ
ابوعاصم نے ابن جریج سے روایت کی ، کہا : مجھے ابو زبیر نے بتا یا کہ انھوں نے حضرت جا بر بن عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو یہ کہتے ہو ئے سنا ، نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آل ( بنو عمروبن ) حزم کو سانپ ( کے کا ٹے ) کا دم کرنے کی اجازت دی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نےاسماء بنت عمیس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے فر ما یا : " کیا ہوا ہے میں نے اپنے بھا ئی ( حضرت جعفر بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) کے بچوں کے جسم لا غر دیکھ رہا ہوں ، کیا انھیں بھوکا رہنا پڑتا ہے؟ " انھوں نے کہا : نہیں لیکن انھیں نظر بد جلدی لگ جاتی ہے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرما یا : " انھیں دم کرو ۔ " انھوں ( اسماء بنت عمیس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا ) نے کہا : تومیں نے ( دم کے الفاظ کو ) آپ کے سامنے پیش کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر مایا : " ( ان الفاظ سے ) ان کو دم کردو ۔ "
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) granted sanction to the family of Hazm for incantation (in mitigating the effect of the poison of) the snake, and, he said -to Asma' daughter of 'Umais: What is this that I see the children of my brother lean? Are they not fed properly? She said: No, but they fall under the influence of an evil eve. He said: Use incantation She recited (the words of incantation before him), whereupon he (by approving them) said: Yes, use this incantation for them.

Abu Talha reported: While we were sitting in front of the houses and talking amongst ourselves, Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) happened to come there. He stood by us and said: What about you and your meetings on the paths? Avoid these meetings on the paths. We said: We were sitting here without (any intention of doing harm to the passers-by) ; we are sitting to discuss matters and to hold conversation amongst ourselves. Thereupon he said: If there is no help (for you but to sit on these paths), then give the paths their rights and these are lowering of the gaze, exchanging of greetings and good conversation.

Abu Sa'id Khudri reported Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Avoid sitting on the paths. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, we cannot help but holding our meetings (in these paths) and discuss matters (there). Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: If you insist on holding meetings, then give the path its due right. They said: What are its due rights? Upon this he said: Lowering the gaze, refraining from doing harm, exchanging of greetings. commanding of good and forbidding from evil.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: Five are the rights of a Muslim over his brother: responding to salutation, saying Yarhamuk Allah when anybody sneezes and says al-Hamdulillah, visiting the sick. following the bier. ' Abd al-Razzaq said that this hadith has been transmitted as mursal hadith from Zuhri and he then substantiated it on the authority of Ibn Musayyib.
