حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجْتُ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَّخَذْتَ أَنْمَاطًا قُلْتُ وَأَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ قَالَ جَابِرٌ وَعِنْدَ امْرَأَتِي نَمَطٌ فَأَنَا أَقُولُ نَحِّيهِ عَنِّي وَتَقُولُ قَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ
وکیع نے ہمیں سفیان سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے محمد بن منکدرسےانھوں نے حضرت جابر عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : جب میں نے شادی کی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے پو چھا : " کیا تم نے بچھونوں کے غلا ف بنا ئے ہیں ؟ " میں نے عرض کی ، ہمارے پاس غلا ف کہاں سے آئے ؟ آپ نے فرما یا : " اب عنقریب ہوجا ئیں گے ۔ حضرت جا بر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : میری بیوی کے پاس ایک غلا ف تھا میں اس سے کہتا تھا : اسے مجھ سے دور رکھو ، اور وہ کہتی تھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرما یا تھا : " عنقریب غلا ف ہوا کریں گے ۔
Jabir b. Abdullah reported: When I was married. Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) asked me if I had got carpets. I said: How can we have carpets? Thereupon he said: You will soon have. Jabir said: My wife had possessed a carpet, and I said to her to remove that away from me, but she would say: Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had said: You will soon have.

Mu'awiya b. Suwaid b. Muqarrin reporxed: I visited al-Bara' b. 'Azib and heard him say: Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) commanded us to do seven things and forbade us to do seven (things). He commanded us to visit the sick, to follow the funeral procession, to answer the sneezer, to fulfil the vow, to help the poor, to accept the invitation and to greet everybody, and he forbade us to wear rings or gold rings, to drink in silver (vessels), and to use the saddle cloth made of red silk, and to wear garments made of Qassi material, or garments made of silk or brocade and velvet.
