حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَأَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ آلِ عُطَارِدٍ قَبَاءً مِنْ دِيبَاجٍ، أَوْ حَرِيرٍ، فَقَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَوِ اشْتَرَيْتَهُ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذَا مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ»، فَأُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةٌ سِيَرَاءُ، فَأَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَرْسَلْتَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُكَ قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَسْتَمْتِعَ بِهَا»،
یحییٰ بن سعید نے شعبہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : مجھے ابو بکر بن حفص نے سالم سے خبر دی ، انھوں نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عطارد کے خاندان والوں میں سے ایک آدمی ( کےکندھوں ) پر دیباج یا ریشم کی ایک قبا دیکھی تو ا نھوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کی : کتنا اچھا ہو اگر آپ اس کو خرید لیں! آپ نے فرمایا : " اس کو صرف وہ شخص پہنتا ہے جس کا آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں ۔ " پھر ( بعد میں ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک ریشمی حلہ ہدیہ کیا گیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وہ حلہ میرے پاس بھیج دیا ، کہا : میں نے عرض کی : آپ نے وہ حلہ میرے پاس بھیج دیا ہے ۔ جبکہ میں اس کے متعلق آپ سے سن چکا ہوں ، آپ نے اس کے بارے میں جو فرمایا تھا سوفرمایا تھا؟آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " میں نے اسے تمھارے پا س صرف اس لئے بھیجاہے کہ تم اس سے فائدہ اٹھاؤ ۔
lbn 'Umar reported that 'Umar saw a person of the tribe of 'Utirid selling a garment made of brocade or silk and said to Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ): Would that you buy it? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: He who wears it has no share for him in the Hereafter. Then Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was presented with a striped silk garment and he sent it to him ('Umar). He (, Umar) said: You sent it to me whereas I heard from you about it what you had to say, whereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: I sent it to you so that you may benefit by it.

Mu'awiya b. Suwaid b. Muqarrin reporxed: I visited al-Bara' b. 'Azib and heard him say: Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) commanded us to do seven things and forbade us to do seven (things). He commanded us to visit the sick, to follow the funeral procession, to answer the sneezer, to fulfil the vow, to help the poor, to accept the invitation and to greet everybody, and he forbade us to wear rings or gold rings, to drink in silver (vessels), and to use the saddle cloth made of red silk, and to wear garments made of Qassi material, or garments made of silk or brocade and velvet.
