حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ خَلَا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلَانًا؟ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
محمد بن جعفر نے ہمیں شعبہ سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے قتادہ سے سنا ، وہ حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے ، انہوں نے حضرت اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ایک انصاری نے تنہائی میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بات کی اور عرض کی : کیا جس طرح آپ نے فلاں شخص کو عامل بنایا ہے مجھے عامل نہیں بنائیں گے؟ آپ نے فرمایا : " میرے بعد تم خود کو ( دوسروں پر ) ترجیح ( دینے کا معاملہ ) دیکھو گے تم اس پر صبر کرتے رہنا ، یہاں تک کہ حوض ( کوثر ) پر مجھ سے آن ملو ۔ " ( وہاں تمہیں میری شفاعت پر اس صبر و تحمل کا بے پناہ اجر ملے گا ۔ )
It has been narrated on the authority of Usaid b. Hudair that a man from the Ansar took the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) aside and said to him: Will you not appoint me governor as you have appointed so and so? He (the Messenger of Allah) said: You will surely come across preferential treatment after me, so you should be patient until you meet me at the Cistern (Haud-i-Kauthar).
