حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ غُلَامًا لَهُ عَنْ دُبُرٍ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ يَشْتَرِيهِ مِنِّي؟» فَاشْتَرَاهُ نُعَيْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بِثَمَانِ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، فَدَفَعَهَا إِلَيْهِ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: «عَبْدًا قِبْطِيًّا مَاتَ عَامَ أَوَّلَ
حماد بن زید نے عمرو بن دینار سے ، انہوں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ انصار میں سے ایک آدمی نے اپنی موت کے بعد اپنے غلام کو آزاد قرار دیا ، اس کے پاس اس کے سوا اور کوئی مال نہ تھا ۔ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ بات پہنچی تو آپ نے فرمایا : "" اس ( غلام ) کو مجھ سے کون خریدے گا؟ "" اسے نعیم بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے آٹھ سو درہم میں خرید لیا تو آپ نے وہ ( رقم ) اس آدمی کے حوالے کر دی ۔ عمرو نے کہا : میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے : وہ قبطی غلام تھا ( ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کی امارت کے ) پہلے سال فوت ہوا ۔ ( اپنی فوت کے بعد غلام کو آزاد کرنے والے کو ایک تہائی سے زیادہ ترکے میں وصیت کا اختیار ہی نہ تھا
Jabir b. 'Abdullah said that a person among the Ansar declared his slave free after his death, as he had no other property. This news reached the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and he said: Who will buy him from me? And Nu'aim b. al-Nahham bought him for eight hundred dirhams and he handed them over to him, 'Amr (one of the narrators) said: I heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah as saying: He was a Coptic slave, and he died in the first year (of the Caliphate of 'Abdullah b. Zubair).

Ibn 'Umar heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: He who has to take an oath, he must not take oath but by Allah. The Quraish used to take oath by their fathers. So he (the Holy Prophet) said: Do not take oath by your fathers.
