وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِمْ: «وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ» إِلَّا فِي حَدِيثِ أَيُّوبَ، وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ فَإِنَّهُمَا ذَكَرَا هَذَا الْحَرْفَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ، وَقَالَا: لَا نَدْرِي أَهُوَ شَيْءٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ، أَوْ قَالَهُ نَافِعٌ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ، وَلَيْسَ فِي رِوَايَةِ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِلَّا فِي حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ
لیث بن سعد ، یحییٰ بن سعید ، ایوب ، اسماعیل بن امیہ ، ابن ابی ذئب اور اسامہ بن زید سب نے نافع سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور انہوں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہی حدیث بیان کی ، ایوب اور یحییٰ بن سعید کی حدیث کے سوا ان میں سے کسی کی حدیث میں یہ الفاظ نہیں ہیں : " اور اگر اس کے پال مال نہیں تو وہ جتنا آزاد ہو چکا تھا اتنا ہی آزاد رہے گا ۔ " اور انہی دونوں نے یہ جملہ کہا اور ان دونوں ( ایوب اور یحییٰ ) نے یہ بھی کہا : ہمیں معلوم نہیں ہے کہ یہ حدیث کا حصہ ہے یا نافع نے اپنی طرف سے کہا ہے ۔ اور لیث بن سعد کی حدیث کے سوا ان میں سے کسی کی روایت میں سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ( میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سےسنا ) کے الفاظ نہیں ہیں ۔

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Zuhri except that in the hadith narrated on the authority of Uqail the words are: I did not take oath by (anyone else except Allah) since I heard Allah's Messenger forbidding it. nor did I speak in such terms, and the narrator did not say, on my own behalf or on behalf of someone else .

Ibn 'Umar heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: He who has to take an oath, he must not take oath but by Allah. The Quraish used to take oath by their fathers. So he (the Holy Prophet) said: Do not take oath by your fathers.
