حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِلْعَبْدِ الْمَمْلُوكِ الْمُصْلِحِ أَجْرَانِ»، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ، لَوْلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَالْحَجُّ، وَبِرُّ أُمِّي، لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَمُوتَ وَأَنَا مَمْلُوكٌ ، قَالَ: وَبَلَغَنَا أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَحُجُّ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ أُمُّهُ لِصُحْبَتِهَا، قَالَ أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: «لِلْعَبْدِ الْمُصْلِحِ»، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ «الْمَمْلُوكَ
ابوطاہر اور حرملہ بن یحییٰ نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ، دونوں نے کہا : ہمیں ابن وہب نے خبر دی ، کہا : مجھے یونس نے ابن شہاب سے خبر دی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے سعید بن مسیب سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے ، حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : "" اچھی طرح ذمہ داریاں نبھانے والے کسی کے مملوک ( غلام ) کے لیے دو اجر ہیں ۔ "" اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں ابوہریرہ کی جان ہے! اگر اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد ، حج اور اپنی والدہ کی خدمت ( جیسے کام ) نہ ہوتے تو میں پسند کرتا کہ میں مروں تو غلام ہوں ۔ ( سعید بن مسیب نے ) کہا : ہمیں یہ بات پہنچی ہے کہ حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ اپنی والدہ کی وفات تک ان کے ساتھ رہنے ( اور خدمت کرنے ) کی بنا پر حج نہیں کرتے تھے ۔ ابوطاہر نے اپنی حدیث میں "" اچھی طرح ذمہ داریاں نبھانے والا "" عَبد "" ( غلام ) کہا ، "" مملوک "" نہیں کہا
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: For a faithful slave there are two rewards. By him in Whose hand is the life of Abu Huraira, but for Jihad in the cause of Allah, and Pilgrimage and kindness to my mother, I would have preferred to die as a slave. He (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) said: This news reached us that Abu Huraira did not perform Pilgrimage until his mother died for (keeping himself constantly) in her service.

Ibn 'Umar heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: He who has to take an oath, he must not take oath but by Allah. The Quraish used to take oath by their fathers. So he (the Holy Prophet) said: Do not take oath by your fathers.
