حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: كَانَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَدِيفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ تَسْتَفْتِيهِ، فَجَعَلَ الْفَضْلُ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا وَتَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ، فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللهِ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ فِي الْحَجِّ، أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَثْبُتَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ، أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ»، وَذَلِكَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ

  امام مالکؒ نے ابن شہاب سے انھوں نے سلیمان بن یسار سے اور انھوں نے عبد اللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ انھوں نے کہا : فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی سواری پر پیچھے سوار تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس قبیلہ خشعم کی ایک خاتون آئی وہ آپ سے فتویٰ پو چھنے لگی فضل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اس کی طرف اور وہ ان کی طرف دیکھنے لگی ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فضل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا چہرہ دوسری جا نب پھیرنے لگے ۔ اس نے کہا اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !بلا شبہ اللہ کا اپنے بندوں پر فرض کیا ہوا حج میرے کمزور اور بو ڑھے والد پر بھی آگیا ہے وہ سواری پر جم کر بیٹھ نہیں سکتے تو کیا میں ان کی طرف سے حج کر سکتی ہوں؟آپ نے فر ما یا : " ہاں ۔ اور یہ حجۃ الوداع میں ہوا

Abdullah b. 'Abbas reported that while al-Fadl b. Abbas had been riding behind Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) a women of the tribe of Khath'am came to him (to the Holy Proppet) asking for a religious verdict. Fadl looked at her and she looked at him. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) turned the face of al-Fadl to the other side. She said: Messenger of Allah, there is an obligation from Allah upon His servants in regard to Hajj. (But) my father is an aged man; he is incapable of riding safely. May I perform Hajj on his behalf? He said: Yes. It was during the Farewell Pilgrimage.

Hadith 2792

Salim reported on the authority of his father ('Abdullah b. 'Umar) that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) was asked what a Muhrim should wear, whereupon he said: A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, or a turban, or a cap, or trousers, or a cloth touched with wars or with saffron, nor (should he wear) stockings, but in case he does not find shoes, but (before wearing stockings) be should trim them (in such a way) that these should become lower than the ankles.

Hadith 2793

Ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) forbade the Muhrim to put on a cloth dyed in saffron or wars and he further said: One who does not find shoes (to wear) he may wear stockings, but (only) after trimming them below the ankles.

Hadith 2794

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) say as he was delivering an address: So far as the trousers are concerned, one who does not find lower garment, he may wear them; as also socks, he may wear them who does not find shoes. It concerns the Muhrim.

Amr b. Dinar narrated with the same chain of transmitters that he heard the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) delivering sermon at 'Arafat, and he made a mention of this hadith (as quoted above).
