وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، وَيَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالُوا: أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَدَاةِ عَرَفَةَ، فَمِنَّا الْمُكَبِّرُ وَمِنَّا الْمُهَلِّلُ»، فَأَمَّا نَحْنُ فَنُكَبِّرُ، قَالَ قُلْتُ: وَاللهِ، لَعَجَبًا مِنْكُمْ، كَيْفَ لَمْ تَقُولُوا لَهُ: مَاذَا رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ؟
عمر بن حسین نے عبد اللہ بن ابی سلمہ سے انھوں نے عبد اللہ بن عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اور انھوں نے اپنے والد سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : عرفہ کی صبح ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے ہم میں سے کو ئی تکبیر یں کہنے والا تھا اور کوئی لا اله الا الله کہنے والا تھا ۔ البتہ ہم تکبیر یں کہہ رہے تھے ۔ ( عبد اللہ بن ابی سلمہ نے ) کہا : میں نے کہا : اللہ کی قسم! تم پر تعجب ہے تم نے ان سے یہ کیوں نہ پو چھا کہ آپ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کیا کرتے ہو ئے دیکھا تھا ؟ ۔
Abdullah b. 'Umar reported on the authority of his father (Allah be pleased with them): We were along with Allah's Messenger (way peace he upon him) in the morning of 'Arafa (9th of Dhu'l-Hijja). Some of us pronounced Takbir and some of us Tahlil La ilaha ill-Allah). And to those of us who pronounced Takbir, I said: By Allah, how strange it is that you did not care to ask him: What did you see Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) doing (on this occasion)?

Hadith 2792
Salim reported on the authority of his father ('Abdullah b. 'Umar) that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was asked what a Muhrim should wear, whereupon he said: A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, or a turban, or a cap, or trousers, or a cloth touched with wars or with saffron, nor (should he wear) stockings, but in case he does not find shoes, but (before wearing stockings) be should trim them (in such a way) that these should become lower than the ankles.

Ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) forbade the Muhrim to put on a cloth dyed in saffron or wars and he further said: One who does not find shoes (to wear) he may wear stockings, but (only) after trimming them below the ankles.
