وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَأَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: «قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدْرِكُهُ الْفَجْرُ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ، مِنْ غَيْرِ حُلُمٍ، فَيَغْتَسِلُ وَيَصُومُ»

  حرملہ بن یحییٰ ، ابن وہب ، یونس ، ابن شہاب ، عروہ بن زبیر ، ابی بکر بن عبدالرحمٰن ، سیدہ عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زوجہ مطہرہ فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رمضان میں جنبی حالت میں بغیر احتلام کے صبح اٹھتے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم غسل فرماتے اور روزہ رکھتے ۔

A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), said: The dawn broke upon the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) during the Ramadan in a state of junub not because of sexual dream (but on account of intercourse) and he washed himself and observed fast.

Hadith 2499

Ibn Umar reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) made a mention of Ramadan and he with the gesture of his hand said: The month is thus and thus. (He then withdrew his thumb at the third time). He then said: Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it, and if the weather is cloudy calculate it (the months of Sha'ban and Shawwal) as thirty days.

This hadith is narrated on the authority of 'Ubaidullah with the same chain of transmitters, and he said: If (the sky) is cloudy for you, then calculate thirty days (for the month of Ramadan).
