و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ أُنْزِلَ أَمْ شَيْءٌ كَانَ يَقُولُهُ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ
شعبہ نے کہا : قتادہ سے سنا وہ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کر رہے تھے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا فر ما رہے تھے مجھے پتہ نہیں ہے کہ یہ الفا ظ آپ پر نازل ہو ئے تھے یا آپ ( خودہی ) فر ما رہے تھے ۔ ( آگے ) ابو عوانہ کی حدیث کے مانند ہے ۔
Anas b. Malik reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying this, but I do not know whether this thing was revealed to him or not, but he said to.
