و حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْمُرَادِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ الْحَوْلَاءَ بِنْتَ تُوَيْتِ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَسَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى مَرَّتْ بِهَا وَعِنْدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ هَذِهِ الْحَوْلَاءُ بِنْتُ تُوَيْتٍ وَزَعَمُوا أَنَّهَا لَا تَنَامُ اللَّيْلَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَنَامُ اللَّيْلَ خُذُوا مِنْ الْعَمَلِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ فَوَاللَّهِ لَا يَسْأَمُ اللَّهُ حَتَّى تَسْأَمُوا
ابن شہاب نے کہا : مجھے عروہ بن زبیر نے خبر دی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زوجہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے ا نھیں بتایا کہ حولا بنت تویت بن حبیب بن اسد بن عبدالعزیٰ اس عالم میں ان کے قریب سے گزری جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس تھے ، کہا : میں نے عرض کی : یہ حولا بنت تویت ہیں اور لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ یہ رات بھر نہیں سوتیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ( کیا رات بھر نہیں سوتی!اتنا عمل اپنا ؤ جتنے کی تم طاقت رکھتے ہو ۔ اللہ کی قسم!اللہ نہیں اکتائے گا یہاں تک کہ تم اکتا جاؤ ۔ "
Urwa b. Zubair reported that 'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), told him that (once) Haula' dint Tuwait b. Habib b. Asad b. 'Abd al-'Uzzi passed by her (at the time) when the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was with her. I ('A'Isha) said: It Is Haula' bint Tuwait and they say that she does not sleep at night. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: (Oh) she does not sleep at night! Choose an act which you are capable of doing (continuously). By Allah, Allah would not grow weary, but you will grow weary.

Hadith 1571
A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), said Allah prescribed the prayer as two rak'ahs, then it was completed (to four rak'ahs) at the place of residence, but was retained in the same position in journey as it was first made obligatory.

Yahya b. Umayya said: I told 'Umar b. al-Khattab that Allah had said: You may shorten the prayer only if you fear that those who are unbelievers may afflict you (Qur'an, iv. 101), whereas the people are now safe. He replied: I wondered about it in the same way as you wonder about it, so I asked the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about it and he said: It is an act of charity which Allah has done to you, so accept His charity.
