حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، وَاسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ وَيُقَالُ الْمَرَاغِيُّ، وَالْمَرَاغُ حَيٌّ مِنَ الْأَزْدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «وَقْتُ الظُّهْرِ مَا لَمْ يَحْضُرِ الْعَصْرُ، وَوَقْتُ الْعَصْرِ مَا لَمْ تَصْفَرَّ الشَّمْسُ، وَوَقْتُ الْمَغْرِبِ مَا لَمْ يَسْقُطْ ثَوْرُ الشَّفَقِ، وَوَقْتُ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ، وَوَقْتُ الْفَجْرِ مَا لَمْ تَطْلُعِ الشَّمْسُ»
معاذ عنبری نے کہا : ہمیں شعب نے قتادہ سے ، انھوں نے ابو ایوب سے حدیث سنائی ۔ ابو ایوب کا نام یحییٰ بن مالک ازدی ہے ۔ ان کو مراغی بھی کہا جاتا ہے اور مراغ قبیلہ ازدہی کی ایک شاخ ہے ۔ انھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے اور انھوں نے نبی اکرم ﷺ سے روایت کی کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ’’ظہر کا وقت تب تک ہےجب تک عصر کا وقت شروع نہ ہو ، اور عصر کا وقت ہے جب تک سورج زرد نہ ہو ، اور مغرب کا وقت ہے جب تک شفق غروب نہ ہو ، اور عشاء کا وقت آدھی رات تک ہے اور فجر کا وقت ہے جب تک سورج طلوع نہ ہو ۔ ‘ ‘
Abdullah b. 'Amr reported the Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) saying: The time of the noon prayer (lasts) as long as it is not afternoon, and the time of the afternoon prayer (lasts) as long as the sun does not turn pale and the time of the evening prayer (lasts) as long as the spreading appearance of the redness above the horizon after sunset does not sink down, and the, time of the night prayer (lasts) by midnight and the time of the morning prayer (lasts) as long as the sun dots not rise.

Hadith 1162
Ibrahim b. Yazid al-Tayml reported: I used to read the Qur'an with my father in the vestibule (before the door of the mosque). When I recited the ayat (verses) concerning prostration, he prostrated himself. I said to him: Father, do you prostrate yourself in the path? He said: I heard Abu Dharr saying: I asked the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about the mosque that was first set up on the earth. He said: Masjid Harim. I said: Then which next? He said: The Masjid al-Aqsa. I said: How long is the space of time between the two? He said: Forty years. He (then) further said: The earth is a mosque for you, so wherever you are at the time of prayer, pray there.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah al-Ansari reported: The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: I have been conferred upon five (things) which were not granted to anyone before me (and these are): Every apostle wassent particularly to his own people, whereas I have been sent to all the red and the black the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, and these were never made lawful to anyone before me, and the earth has been made sacred and pure and mosque for me, so whenever the time of prayer comes for any one of you he should pray whenever he is, and I have been supported by awe (by which the enemy is overwhelmed) from the distance (which one takes) one month to cover and I have been granted intercession.
